On Tuesday 10 March at 8pm, the Changing Times lectures enter their 35th year with a subject of great growing interest, as we welcome Juliette Bryant as our guest speaker …
Juliette writes: “Evolving consciousness is not separate from what we eat, grow, or how we relate to the living world around us. Throughout history, medicinal mushrooms and plants have been trusted allies in human health, spiritual insight and resilience – used not as commodities, but as teachers.”
In this talk, Juliette explores the deep connection between food sovereignty and consciousness, and the importance of reclaiming our relationship with food as medicine. Medicinal mushrooms are approached not only through science and tradition, but as intelligent, ecological beings that support immunity, cognition, emotional balance, and our sense of belonging within nature.
As access to natural medicines becomes increasingly regulated and centralised, food sovereignty emerges as a vital pathway to freedom –encouraging individuals and communities to grow, forage, learn, and share knowledge that has sustained humanity for generations.
Juliette Bryant
Juliette is a leading figure in health transformation, dedicated to empowering people with the most effective tools for healing and vitality. She has travelled the world studying plant medicine, medicinal mushrooms, and holistic wellness. Juliette supports people through all stages of life using nutrition, meditation, breathwork and awakening techniques and is the author of Divine Detox, Divine Desserts, Superfoods and How to Use Them, and her latest book, My Journey with 7 Magical Mushrooms. She has written countless articles for magazines and journals, sharing her research into wellbeing and nutrition. Through workshops, retreats, and mentorship programs, she helps others reconnect with the Earth’s wisdom and their own innate power to thrive.
All lectures are introduced by Andy Thomas and begin at 8.15pm SHARP, admission £8. Events are held on TUESDAYS. Our venue is at Cyprus Hall, Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 8DX
