CHANGING TIMES is an organization dedicated to the stimulation of new thinking, challenging accepted ‘official' beliefs or propaganda with thought-provoking presentations on a variety of topics, ranging from political debate to scientific or metaphysical investigation. Our intention is to gather a repertory of high-quality speakers with a wide agenda, to keep the spirit of enquiry and freedom of expression alive in times when these very virtues seem to be under threat.

The Moon Landings - Fact or Fiction? from Martin Noakes on Vimeo.

'The Moon Landings: Fact or Fiction?' - Tuesday 30th June A Presentation by Marcus Allen.

THE MOON LANDINGS – FACT OR FICTION?

As the NASA Moon landings celebrate their 40th anniversary, the Changing Times group investigates their darker side on 30th June at the Lewes All Saints Centre and asks... did they really happen at all?

This classic conspiracy theory will be discussed by Marcus Allen, UK publisher of the popular alternative magazine Nexus, and one of the world's top challengers of the NASA claims, who believes that, if nothing else, some or all of the photographs are studio forgeries.

‘The evidence that we have not been told the whole truth about the Moon landings is much stronger and more convincing than many people think,' says Allen, ‘and they should not dismiss the doubts until they have heard the evidence – if anyone wants to challenge those doubts, I welcome them to come along and do so'.

Allen adds:  ‘There are many anomalies in the lunar images, and many unanswered questions as to how the men survived the trip.  How were the acknowledged dangers of radiation in space overcome when NO protection was built into the craft, the spacesuits or the cameras?  The landers sat on the Moon's surface in direct sunlight at temperatures higher than the boiling point of water - how did the astronauts keep cool?  And how were such perfect photographs taken using cameras with no viewfinder, no exposure meter and only crude manual control, while wearing what were in effect heavy duty gardening gloves?'

Allen has appeared on many TV programmes, including BBC2's The Clarkson Show, Channel 4's The Big Breakfast, Channel 5, Sky News and the Sci Fi and Discovery Channels, as well as numerous national and local radio shows, and in the USA on Coast to Coast AM.

MARCUS ALLEN [full details]

Marcus Allen is the UK publisher of Nexus Magazine, which he introduced to this country in 1994.  Nexus is the world's leading alternative news magazine, originating from Australia and sold in over 100 countries.

He is now able to pursue his life-long interest in The Unexplained on a full-time basis.  The Moon Landings are just one of the many 'taboo' subjects he has investigated, around which new questions arise that have yet to be adequately answered.

Questions on the night are expected!

MARCUS WRITES:

Man has landed on the Moon!  We have seen it on TV, looked at the pictures, listened to the interviews and read the books.  So how can it not be true?

We all want it to be true.  It is said to be the greatest scientific achievement of the past 100 years.  It has been voted  top TV moment of the 20th century - it would be if it had all happened the way we have been shown.  But did it?  Or has NASA yet again lived up to its other name - Never A Straight Answer?

The Apollo Moon landings took place 40 years ago.  The world has since moved on to other matters and the emotion of the event has dimmed.  Now it can be examined in detail.  There are many anomalies in the photographs and the films.  There are many unanswered questions as to how men could survive the very real dangers of the vacuum of space.

* How were the acknowledged dangers of radiation in space overcome when no protection was built in to the Apollo space craft, the spacesuits used on the Moon or the Hasselblad cameras?

* How was the heat generated in the space craft removed if air conditioning cannot work in the vacuum of space?

* The lunar landers sat on the Moon's surface for up to 72 hours in direct sunlight, the temperature of which on the Moon is higher than the boiling point of water (100degC).  How did the astronauts keep cool?

* How were such great photographs taken on the lunar surface?  The astronauts used cameras which had no viewfinder, no exposure meter, no means of knowing if a picture had been taken, manual control of focussing, aperture setting and shutter speed dials.  They were operating the Hasselblad cameras while wearing spacesuits with what were in effect heavy duty gardening gloves on their hands.  How did they do it and still produce such professional results?

NASA is the only source of all the evidence for man's landing on the Moon.  That evidence is so questionable, I contend that it could not have happened the way we have been led to believe it did.  At worst the whole Apollo mission could have been fabricated; at best we have been seriously misled as to man's ability to survive more than a few hundred miles above Earth's surface.  The idea of sending men to Mars is just wishful thinking.

Come along and hear the evidence for yourselves!
